Hello, My name is Matt Bird. I bought my first guitar at the age of 12 from Costco. Since then, a day hasn't gone by that I don't play or sing. I started recording myself halfway though college while struggling with depression. Soon, writing poetry, and making music were the only things that I could think about, and it consumed me. I dropped out of school and took for the open road, writing everywhere that I went, about everyone I met, and what they were doing there. I lived out of my car for two years, and a tent for one. I ventured across North America 6 times over, coast to coast, including Mexico and Canada. I worked many odd jobs along the way, but the only thing that I ever took seriously was three books of poetry I wrote and the 11 albums I had produced. Today, not much is different. Only thing different today, is I no longer live out of my car, and I finally got my college degree this last December. Currently I'm living in Philadelphia, started a youtube channel, working on the next album, and saving money for a youtube documentary series I have planned for this summer.
